When school resumes in person:
Daily Schedule
Arrival and Dismissal
· 7:10- Children may begin eating breakfast
· 7:25- First homeroom bell.
· 7:40- Homeroom begins. Children are considered tardy if they arrive after this point.
· 2:25- Pre-K, K dismissal
· 2:25- Grades 1-3 dismissed
· 2:40- Grades 4-8 dismissed
During arrival time, please do not park and leave your car. Doing this will stop the flow of traffic. If you need to enter the school during arrival time, please park your car in the parking lot.
At dismissal time, if your child is a car rider please wait in the carpool line in the front of the school. If your child is a bus rider, please help them to memorize their route and address.
In order to pick your child up from the carpool line a carpool tag with security code must be visible in the vehicle. This will help ensure your child’s safety and will speed up the carpool line. Carpool tags should include child’s name, grade, and teacher’s name. If a carpool sign is not displayed in the vehicle, you will be required to show identification in the office.
It is our responsibility that all children get home safely. Please remember that any inconvenience you may experience in showing proper identification is ensuring your child’s safety.
Arrival and dismissal are both busy and hectic times of the day. It will be difficult for me to talk with you during these times. If you need to discuss something with me at those times, I may have to ask you to wait before I have the opportunity to speak with you.
Pick Up
If you are going to pick your child up early from school, you must first go to the office and sign him or her out. Also if your child is to leave school with someone other than you, please send a written note with your child and make sure that person is listed on the filed registration form. Your student will not be released otherwise, no exceptions. If your child has a change in transportation on a certain day we MUST have a note. ALL NOTES SHOULD BE IN THE BINDER! If we do not have a note, we dismiss them to their usual transportation.
Your note and communication with us will eliminate confusion at dismissal time!
Code of Conduct:
The Code of Conduct will be enforced in the classroom, as well as the rules we will create together on the first day of school. Please read and be familiar with the Code of Conduct and our classroom rules. Please sign and return the Student/ Parent Handbook acknowledgement form.
Behavior Sheets will be sent home daily and must be kept in the binder. This will notify you of your child’s daily behavior choices and will also serve as a reminder for snack, specials, and other various reminders. Each move to orange or red equals 1 check. Please check and sign the behavior Sheet DAILY. Students will not be able to participate in Fun Friday if they do not demonstrate appropriate behavior throughout the week.
Behavior sheets and our classroom behavior management system are in addition to the school wide behavior Policy. Please read through the Hesse Elementary School Behavior Management Plan, sign and return.
